Great Idea, Miller!

One of the best parts of living in Toronto is having a Mayor that so accurately reflects my views. Okay, maybe not that accurately.

In light of the horrific school shooting this week, Miller has once again called for handguns to be "banned". What a great idea! Clearly the existing gun registry is not working, since criminals must be using registered handguns for the crimes. Perhaps even stolen registered handguns?

No wait, that doesn't sound right. Why would criminals use registered handguns? They must be illegal! His solution to ban illegal handguns will surely entice criminals to voluntarily pitch their sidearms. I have no doubt.

Alright, maybe a little. What terrifies me the most is the thought of the voting public buying this nonsense. How does government ban illegal guns? Oh, and it won't be a complete ban because law enforcement and selected others will still be able to use them. Essentially, the 'ban' will only involve gun collectors and recreational sport shooters.
