The climate's a changin' alright

Don't ask me how I didn't become aware of this earlier, but the Government of Canada's climate change website has been shut down! www.climatechange.gc.ca is no longer.

How are tree huggers in Victoria going to get their fix for information on climate change? What are all the pinkos living in the Beaches (NOT "The Beach") going to crusade for?

Heaven help us all.

Giving credit where credit is due

Okay, I admit when I first learned of the PM's intention to fly to Cyprus to pick up Canadian evacuees - I thought the Prime Minister was off his rocker. So many things could have gone horribly wrong with devastating political consequences, but the big guy pulled it off.

All in all, it was a spectatular decision on his part. Why on earth would they fly our military airbus to Canada - when it is already in the region - only to drop off the PM and fly back empty to pick up evacuees? It was a brilliant move and it's resonating with Canadians, because, after all, actions speak louder than words.

I have been really disappointed with the opposition parties for not being big enough to congratulate the PM for making the decision to pick up Canadians from the region. However, kudos to the Globe and Mail for printing an editorial giving credit to the PM on the matter.
