Now in "Butter" flavour!
My sister told me about this story yesterday. I honestly thought she was joking, but she wasn't.
The good people who make your microwave popcorn are getting sick and dying from working with the chemicals that flavour our wonderful popcorn. It's wonderful the US government is starting to address the problem, but one has to wonder about the health effects on the broader consumer population!
I don't mean to doubt the good folks at Ag and Food Canada, but
I doubt they have looked into this issue.

"Even less is known about the health effects of eating diacetyl in butter-flavored popcorn, or breathing the fumes after the bag is microwaved. The Environmental Protection Agency has studied the fumes but is waiting for the industry to review the study before releasing it. The Food and Drug Administration has diacetyl on its list of substances "generally recognized as safe" but has not studied it."
